For the manufacture of a handmade hat, the last is essential to give the shape to the capeline, which at first is a circular plane before introducing it into the mold, it is transformed into a conical piece to facilitate its handling. This shape is provided with pressure and heat with machines that are reminiscent of hydraulic presses that incorporate the form for the hat in the lower part. This procedure is fundamental to the heat, the desired shape for that hat model is obtained in a fixed way.
A step by step with a lot of "handmade"
With the shape of the cup created, the brim is formed which, according to the design, will go through different processes from gumming so that the brim has more or less hardness; ironing, a phase in which a standard iron is used and a large amount of steam, an element that will be very present throughout the process. This process is carried out by hand by a factory worker with each of the hats that are made. The brim is also trimmed to the specified length. Having already finished the hat, you have to give a finish to its fiber and as is normal in this world, there are different types of finishes from velvety to shiny polishing, etc. Finally, the hat would go through the sewing workshop to be finished with all kinds of accessories such as ribbons, bows, pads, lining, leather straps, etc.
A hat to take care of
Always brush the hat in the direction that the hair takes with a specialized brush. Use steam to accompany this action so that it is easier to remove odors and dust particles. Always store in a hat box.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CHERUBINA GARMENT?
- First of all, we recommend washing it in a dry cleaner.
- If you want to do the washing at home, we recommend washing it by hand, without twisting the garment, and hanging it on a hanger for optimal drying.
- As a third option, if you prefer to use the washing machine, use a cold delicate program. Yes indeed! Never spin.
- Models made of crepe are usually interlining, so in these cases we recommend using a dry program. This way we will prevent it from detaching from the interlining.
- Ironing should be soft, at a medium temperature. As advice, it is better to iron the garments inside out.
- Avoid exposing the garment to the sun for a long time, especially in summer, otherwise it will not suffer unwanted color loss.
