Behind the scenes is Macarena Herrero, a graduate in Business Management and Marketing, who in 2010 decided to launch her own business, Mirka, a company dedicated to event decoration. Together with her team, Macarena always creates an unbeatable atmosphere and makes the bride and groom's dreams come true.

Decoration is the key element of any ceremony or celebration. That's why Mirka Eventos pays attention to even the smallest details, such as decorations, tableware, and even furniture, providing clients with the best fit for their tastes and the event itself.
The essence of Mirka Eventos lies in the perfect combination of color and lighting that create harmonious spaces with impeccable decor. For Macarena, the most important thing is to create a harmonious atmosphere.

Q: How did the idea to start Mirka come about?
My family has always been involved in the world of weddings. My mother founded Catering Santa Teresa, and we also have a celebration venue, Hacienda Saltillo Lasso, located in Seville. But it was finally in 2010 that I saw the opportunity to start my own business doing what I love most.

Q: How would you define Mirka?
Mirka is my dream come true. We are a young company that constantly strives to innovate to ensure each wedding is unique. We adapt to the needs of each of our clients, and that's why we never stop learning and growing.

Q: Who is hiding behind ''Mirka''?
At Mirka, I'm not alone. Behind it all is a great team of professionals who help me achieve the number of weddings we do each year.

Q: Decorating for events and celebrations can be a bit stressful at times, we need to know your secret to keeping stress under control.
For us, it's essential to organize and prepare the event throughout the week so that everything is under control by the time it's actually held. There are things like floral arrangements that can't be set up far in advance, so we try to keep the timing as tight as possible to ensure the final result is a complete success.
Q: How important do you consider decoration at an event?
For me, it's essential to have a harmonious aesthetic and good lighting to create the desired atmosphere, adding decorative elements appropriate to each type of event.

Q: What decoration would you like to do for an evening wedding with the warmth and good weather?
For this time of year, I love adding a lot of color to our decorations, using flowers in shades of fuchsia, purple, coral, and a touch of yellow... combining them with seasonal fruits and, if it's at night, of course, with lots of candles.
Q: What do you think should be included in your wedding decor?
Flowers, for me, a wedding without flowers loses its essence. Although I believe a wedding should represent you, just because something is in fashion doesn't mean you have to wear it if it doesn't suit your style, flowers are a must.
